Tedaldi, Jacopo

Tedaldi, Jacopo
Florentine eyewitness to the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottomans (qq.v.) in 1453. His record is among the most useful accounts written by westerners present at the siege, partly because of its relative impartiality, but chiefly because it includes details of the siege not found in other accounts.
